Meetings are normally held on the third Wednesday of the respective months at the Heritage Centre, Roe Street, Macclesfield starting at 19:30.


For events marked with * a donation of £3 is requested from non-members.


18 October 2017 – AGM with a report on the preceding year 

The AGM is followed by a presentation by Nic Brindle on the establishment of the Fermain Academy, the winner of the Civic Award for 2016, rounded off with a discussion and a Social Evening. 

A charge of £4 will be made to cover the cost of refreshments.


15 November 2017 – Highways planning and maintenance for Macclesfield * 

Presentation by an officer from Cheshire East Council who is to be confirmed, followed by a discussion.


21 February 2018 – Tourism promotion for Macclesfield: Heritage, Culture and Scenery * 

Speakers will include Eilsa Holland, local artist and poet and Pete Turner from Macclesfield Town Council. An interactive round table discussion.


18 April 2018 – Civic Awards for developments completed in 2017 

The entries in the scheme to find the best developments of 2017 will be displayed together with the assessment of the judging panel which comprises members of the Executive Committee and representatives of Macclesfield Town Council. 

The Mayor of Macclesfield will present the awards and a social evening will follow.

30 June 2018 (Saturday) – Visit to Wilmslow with Wilmslow Trust - Note new date!

Meet at Wilmslow Library Car Park at 14:00

A donation of £3 from non-members welcomed.


18 July 2018 – The annual Town Centre Walk – will be to the northern part of the town centre

Meet at Churchill Way Car Park at 19:30

A donation of £3 from non-members welcomed.


Executive Committee Meetings 

The Executive Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 19:30 in Sainsbury's Cafe. Members are welcome to attend.
